About DropOps

Most SaaS exists because of friction between intent and execution. Vendors buy your pain at a discount and sell back your capabilities at a premium—with a ton of bloat. Half of that "modern stack" ends up as shelfware.

Friction is profitable for the patchwork products that specialize in one thing. But incentives don't align for those of us who just want to get stuff done.

The real tragedy is the wasted potential. The small business owner thinking, "I wish we had monitoring, but I can't afford a Splunk architect." The support rep thinking, "I could solve this ticket in 5 minutes if I could just spin up a lab." The solo IT guy standing in the shower wondering, "Is that legacy server actually firewalled?"

The old ways of managing infrastructure are breaking under the weight of complexity. We're past the point where throwing more people or more specialized tools at the problem solves it. We need a fundamental shift in how we operate.

What DropOps Is

DropOps eliminates friction between intent and execution. Deploy a headless, stateless execution agent on any system, tell the AI what you want done, and approve as it executes.

Think of it as Cursor or Windsurf for your infrastructure. A chat-driven interface that gives you the power of an entire DevOps team in a single 5MB binary. Copy it to multiple systems and manage your entire environment from a browser or your phone.

DropOps provides two deployment options: the lightweight DropOps Operator Binary for any Linux/macOS system, and the Cloud Operator for AWS—a pre-configured EC2 instance with Terraform, kubectl, AWS CLI, and security tools. The Cloud Operator uses Zero Standing Privileges, starting with zero AWS access and requesting permissions only when needed to fulfill your intent.

Who It's For

You don't need a PhD in Kubernetes. You don't need to hire a $150K DevOps expert to manage critical infrastructure. Just tell DropOps what you need—scan, fix, backup, secure, deploy a full ELK stack, whatever. The AI uses your docs and past conversations to execute in the context of your environment.

This puts the execution power of an entire DevOps team into the hands of the small business owner who needs simple monitoring, the support rep who could solve a ticket in 5 minutes with a lab, and the founder who wants to sleep at night knowing their systems are secure.

DropOps handles the "how" so your team focuses on the "why."

Who Built This

I've been in the tech trenches for nearly 30 years. Helped take a company through acquisition to IPO. Built support orgs from the ground up. I got tired of seeing people get crushed by complexity and cost.

I spent 8 months head-down building this. Now I need to surround myself with people smarter than me to crank it up. The vision extends far beyond today's capabilities—mobile integration, voice control, and intelligent operator coordination across your entire network, even offline. High-signal feedback from users will guide the roadmap.
